Aldi has opened new stores in Texas and Mississippi.

Aldi closed out April with two store openings as the discount grocer continues moving forward on its robust expansion plans across the United States.

On April 25, the discount grocer opened its first store in Texarkana, Tex., at 2315 Richmond Road, Suite 1A. The same day, the company opened its first location in Pascagoula, Miss., at 3809 Denny Avenue.

During the grand opening celebrations at each store, the first 100 customers received a gift card as part of Aldi’s Golden Ticket gift card giveaway program. Shoppers were also eligible to enter a sweepstakes during the grand opening weekend for a chance to win a $500 Aldi gift card.

“Our stores are designed to make grocery shopping smarter, faster and easier,” said Scott Huska, Denton vice president for Aldi. “We’re excited to open our first Aldi store in Texarkana and introduce local customers to a new, more affordable way of shopping.”

Heather Moore, Loxley vice president for Aldi, echoed those same comments related to the grocer’s Pascagoula store.
